Hummingbird Whirligig (Body 7”L/Wingspan 10”L)
The whirligig's body is cut from 3/4" or thicker wood. The wings are cut from finnish birch, painted with exterior acrylic paint, and sealed with Polyshield Hydrocote...a weather resistant protectant. I use brass hardware (screws, washers, bearing, propeller and pivot tubes). High quality products are used to make my whirligigs more durable. An 12 inch brass rod is included.
**When you purchase this mini whirligig, you will receive a 12” brass pole ONLY. The 12 in rod can be used alone to mount the whirligig close to the ground….in a flower pot or in a flower bed. If you want the mini whirligig to set up higher off the ground, the buyer can purchase a wood dowel and create a taller mount.
*Please note that each whirligig is slightly different-handcut and handpainted, with some variations in color shades and details.
