Both blades rotate on the helicopter. Tail rotor will be on the opposite side of the helicopter than as pictured in the listing photos.
USAF will be painted on the helicopter.

The whirligig's body is cut from 3/4" or thicker wood. The rotor blades are cut from finnish birch, painted with exterior acrylic paint, and sealed with Polyshield Hydrocote...a weather resistant protectant. I use brass hardware (screws, washers, bearing, propeller and pivot tubes). High quality products are used to make my whirligigs more durable. A 5-1/2 inch stainless steel nail and instructions for mounting are included.
**When you purchase a whirligig, you WILL NOT receive a whirligig post/stake. You will receive a 5" nail and mounting instructions ONLY. If you wish to purchase a ready-made whirligig post, there are several variations of posts for sale in my shop.
*Please note that each whirligig is slightly different-handcut and handpainted, with some variations in color shades and details.
This sturdy steel whirligig post is a great way to display your favorite whirligigs from TimberStudioCO.etsy.com. The top of the post fits into the brass tube on the underside of the whirligig. The bottom of the post has 2 parts that go into the ground for added stability. The post measures 34 inches in length and is painted black.
